Leilan grew out of a dialogue between a collector and a group of distinguished Iranian artists. Each artist was invited to create works based on their own perception of the fourteen values — each with their personal vision, lived experience, and artistic voice, and each free to choose their medium: painting, sculpture, design, calligraphy, illustration, story, poetry, or music.
